Man I’m late to this party, but since it appears that Google now supports CalDAV (yeah, so it’s WebDAV but for Calendars… why ?!) I can now see and add to my Google Calendars from Thunderbird!
Fantastic. Much kudos to lifehacker for having the instructions for additional calendars. For those using Thunderbird, rather then File -> New Calendar, you need Calendar -> New Calendar.
